Customize standard construction plans for a home, cabin, cottage or addition.
PlanHelp is a subscription website where home owners come to find tools to customize a house plan or detail their home building project.
Many of our members come over from our sister CountryPlans website where we have full structural home plans that are simple to build and a very active free forum. The Planhelp discussion forum is more focused on design and construction details rather than building. We want to help you design the best house for your needs and building site.
Most people find the PlanHelp Download Library to be the most valuable part of this site. (This link is right under the blue Department box on the left.)
Try our downloadable Site Tools as a starting point to evaluate your property or preplan your house. Then, you may wish to add new ideas to a set of plans you are working with by using some of our plan details. These details can be added to any set of house plans not only the ones from CountryPlans.
Now, perhaps you have one of the CountryPlans stock plans and find that the layout comes close to meeting your needs, but you need to make some changes. With the proper software on your computer and our floor plan templates you may be able to customize the plan to better fit your needs. When you join PlanHelp.com ($29 for 3 months, $9.95/mo thereafter - cancel anytime) you immediately have access to our list of download template plans, reports, details and design templates:

Templates. You might find some of the articles below to be of interest. (Some are public and can be viewed by non-members.)
Note: Template plans DO NOT have the structural details included in the paper plans. The full detailed paper plans (blueprints) are available at our sister site CountryPlans.com. Template files cannot produce complete blueprints with permit ready drawings and details on their own. However, floor plans and elevations can be printed to scale from the template plans and these can then be included in the appropriate blueprint pages. This is the best way to use these simple design programs.
